Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Dodja Originals collects when you shop with us, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Dodja Originals is responsible for your personal information under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). For anything about your data, contact us at costumercare@dodjafashion.com.

What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, the pieces you order and the payment status.
If you create an account: your name, email address, a securely scrambled version of your password (we can never see the password itself), phone number and saved address.
If you contact us: your name, email address and what you write to us.
If you join our newsletter: your email address.
Payments: handled by Stripe (cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay) and PayPal. They give us confirmation of payment; we never receive your full card details.
On the website: the essential cookies described in our Cookie policy. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it, and why we are allowed to

To take payment for, prepare, deliver and support your order, including returns. This is needed to fulfil our contract with you.
To send you emails about your order and account, such as confirmations, shipping updates and password resets. This is part of providing the service you asked for.
To keep accounting and tax records, which the law requires.
To prevent fraud and keep the website secure, which is in our legitimate interests and yours.
To send you news about collections and restocks, only if you signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every newsletter.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need:

Payment providers: Stripe and PayPal, to take payment and prevent fraud.
Delivery carriers: your name, address and phone number, to deliver your order.
Website and database hosting: Railway, whose servers we use in the European Union.
Email: our email provider, Titan, to send and receive emails.

Some of these companies are based in, or use servers in, the United States and other countries outside the UK. When information goes abroad it is protected by safeguards approved under UK law, such as standard data protection contracts.

How long we keep it

Order records: 6 years after the order, as required for tax.
Accounts: until you ask us to close your account. Your past orders are then kept only for the 6 years above.
Messages to us: up to 2 years.
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Keeping it safe

The website is served only over encrypted connections, passwords are stored in scrambled form, and access to our admin is limited to our team.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or limit how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent to newsletters at any time. Email costumercare@dodjafashion.com to make a request; we reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, but please contact us first so we can try to help.

Children

Our shop is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date below.
